Recipe: Dairy Free Chocolate Espresso Protein Smoothie #yourewelcome

We’re massive believers that kids should not have all the fun. If you have some of our chocolate milkshakes in the fridge and you are looking for a super delicious and hydrating way to kick start your day, wrestle a can away from the kids hands and quarantine one for yourself. It will be worth it, we promise.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Cor de Coco chocolate milkshake (you could also use our luxe caramel if you prefer that instead)

  • 1 shot of coffee (or two if you are feeling frisky)

  • A bunch of ice cubes to make it super cold (hot tip: the more ice you use the more frappe-like it becomes)

  • 1 serve of protein powder (we love to support local so we use True WPI 90 - natural or chocolate)

  • Optional: your pick of one or two of the below ingredients to give you a creamier texture and/or deliver some extra healthy fats:

    • 1 small ripe banana (ideally frozen)

    • 1 small handful of almonds

    • 1 tablespoons of LSA

    • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter

    • 1 handful of baby spinach (you won’t even taste it)

Instructions

  1. Caffeine check: before you suit up, start by brewing your coffee so it has time to cool. No one likes a warm smoothie #fail

  2. Get your blender ready: throw in all of your ingredients and blitz. If you have over indexed on the ice or banana and it ends up being too thick, you can add more Cor de Coco or a splash of water. Adding more caffeine is also an option if you have not already maxed out on that.’

  3. Sip and supercharge your day. And, if you have time send us a pic of you totally killing it at life; we love to see our drinks out in the wild.

NOTE: If you are looking for a sweeter start or pick me up mid afternoon you can add some maple syrup to the mix. Keeps things natural and super tasty.
